Every summer, Concordia International School Hanoi organizes an enriching educational experience known as the Concordia College Tour, offering students a unique opportunity to explore higher education options in the United States. This annual tour is a collaborative effort led by Concordia Hanoi's dedicated counseling team and takes place during the first week of June, each year exploring a new U.S. location.

This past summer, 18 students from Concordia Hanoi, accompanied by two counselors, embarked on a journey to the San Francisco area. They were joined by 14 students and two counselors from their sister school, Concordia Shanghai. Over the course of a week, the group visited eight prestigious universities, including San Jose State University, the University of California at Santa Cruz, Stanford University, Santa Clara University, the University of California at Davis, Saint Mary's College, the University of San Francisco, and the University of California at Berkeley.

The tour provided students with invaluable insights into the college admissions process through private information sessions with admissions officers and counselor-led evening sessions. Additionally, guided campus tours allowed students to experience these academic environments firsthand.

Beyond the academic focus, the tour also included recreational activities, offering students a well-rounded experience. Participants visited iconic sites such as Alcatraz, enjoyed a day at the Great America amusement park, took a scenic cable car ride through San Francisco, explored Fisherman's Wharf, and indulged in some shopping.

Looking ahead, next year's tour promises to be equally exciting, with plans to visit eight colleges from New York City to Philadelphia, including Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University, and the University of Pennsylvania. These will include NYU, Columbia, Fordham, Princeton, Penn, Villanova, and Swarthmore. Any students who are interested in attending the June 2025 College Tour should notify their counselor immediately. 

This annual initiative underscores Concordia Hanoi's commitment to providing students with comprehensive support and guidance in their pursuit of higher education, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future academic endeavors.
