A few weeks ago, our High School students embarked on an exciting journey to several remarkable locations, including Da Nang, Phong Nha, Hoi An, Cham Island, Hue, Bach Ma, and Dong Hoi. During their travels, they engaged in a multitude of activities that allowed them to fully immerse themselves in their surroundings, creating lasting memories that they will cherish forever. The students enjoyed a variety of adventures such as hiking, bonfires, bike rides, visits to duck farms, cave explorations, jungle treks, giant rope swings, scavenger hunts, as well as scuba diving and snorkeling!
"I went on the scuba diving trip, and it was truly enjoyable to share that experience with my friends while discovering new things. There was also an academic aspect, as we had to complete a course to become certified scuba divers. Overall, it was a great opportunity to connect with everyone." - Callum (G10)
A highlight of the trip was the impactful work done by our students at the CHIA school, which supports children with special needs. Through activities such as singing and dancing, our students brought joy and laughter to the children. They also contributed to maintaining the garden at Nguyen Du Middle School, showcasing remarkable resilience and compassion despite the challenging heat and insects. The excitement continued as they participated in badminton, volleyball, and basketball games with Nguyen Du Middle School students. Additionally, they brought gifts and supplies to the CHIA school, sharing joyful moments and heartfelt goodbyes.
“Our trip was interesting because we had the opportunity to interact with children with disabilities. We learned how to engage with them appropriately, ensuring we didn't harm them while still having fun together. It was also rewarding to spend time with younger kids, some of whom faced challenges with walking and expressing their thoughts. Overall, it was a great experience hanging out with these wonderful children.” - HyeIn (G11)
We were immensely proud of our students’ exemplary conduct and dedication, particularly their significant contributions to the CHIA school, which garnered high praise from its director and teachers.
With a diverse range of thoughtfully planned trips and activities, CAMPS presents a unique platform for personal growth and self-discovery that equips students for success in both their academic pursuits and future endeavors. These experiences empower students to strive for excellence not only in academics but also in co-curricular activities and creative projects while enhancing their critical thinking abilities.
The CAMPS program offers a holistic and transformative experience aimed at empowering students to cultivate essential life skills while expanding their perspectives and nurturing compassion and leadership. Each trip is designed with specific objectives in mind, focusing on cultural awareness, community building, personal development, and service. At Concordia Hanoi, we take pride in providing the CAMPS program to enrich our students' lives and educational journeys. Through their participation in CAMPS, students have the chance to develop valuable skills for life, forge enduring friendships, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
“My experience was incredibly diverse and unforgettable, especially since it marked my final CAMPS trip at Concordia Hanoi. Although the mornings started early, the breathtaking sunsets made it all worthwhile. The food we enjoyed in Hoi An and Hue was exceptional!” - Preston (G12)
“I made a lot of new memories with my friends and teachers during our trip, and visiting a new part of Vietnam was a fun experience. Being able to explore together as a learning opportunity allowed us to engage in enjoyable activities that helped everyone bond.” - Kaylee (G9)
Moreover, students become active global citizens through service initiatives, environmental stewardship, and respect for their communities. Ultimately, they learn to make ethical decisions by honoring others, managing resources wisely (including time and talents), and living with integrity.
