Preschool Home Learning: Creativity and Care

Our preschool Home Learning curriculum is designed with creativity and care, providing both online group learning experiences and independent home activities for the littlest members of our Concordia family.

In the morning, preschoolers start with sharing, singing, and hearing a story together. Then they go into breakout rooms to practice math, literacy, or fine motor skills. The students also get to work with different specialty teachers each day, doing art with Ms. Carter, PE with Mr. Buss, or reading with Mr. Roth. The class takes regular “Brain Breaks” to “shake out the sillies,” lighten the learning, burn off fidgeting, and get refocused. Teachers also provide independent “play pack” for parents and students, like writing numbers and making playdough.

"The whole flow of Home Learning is really great, from the active Zoom sessions and breakout rooms to the play pack activities,” said one preschool parent. “I think it's a great balance."
