As a school that puts great focus on academic excellence, Concordia International School Hanoi is known for accepting only the top students who apply each year. Once enrolled, these students are welcomed into Concordia with open arms, and into a new environment that holds both difficult challenges and new chances.
This school year in particular, Concordia has recruited only a few new students into the middle school program, each of them bringing different perspectives to Concordia.

Some new students who joined Concordia this year, and others who’ve moved up from elementary to middle school, shared their perspectives:
“I think that Concordia is a really challenging environment that prepares you for future university experiences. The curriculum encourages students to constantly improve academically. And you are constantly surrounded by people who are more intelligent than you, which forces you to keep trying to strive and gives you more opportunities to learn and grow,” said Luna (G8).

“Being a new student, I feel that Concordia's environment is the right level of work for me, so I can manage the workload that I have. It gives me more room to learn and grow, especially by learning new things in math. It is very different from my old school, since it was online. I like that the teachers are welcoming and nice, as they always greet us and wish us a great weekend,” said Olivia (G8).

“Concordia’s environment is very welcoming, especially for new students, as not only were the buddies very helpful and nice, but everyone including students and teachers were kind and helped me settle in. After a few weeks I’d already made multiple friends. The classes have been great as well and even in the first few weeks I learned a lot in my classes. I think this experience will really help me grow a lot,” said Issie (G8).

“I think Concordia is a very good school, since they give lots of assignments and allow students to practice and gain experience through it,” said Yoochan (G8).

“Concordia is a great school where new students are welcomed. The community is really inclusive and makes students thrive to keep learning and improving,” said Hyewon (G6).
“Concordia is a very fun and safe place where people can express what they enjoy. I really like it,” said Cameron (G8).

“The teachers are very considerate of their students, and students empathize with each others’ emotions,” said Yerin (G8).

“I think the community is awesome and I love being here!” said Isabella (G6).

“I think Concordia is friendly and welcoming,” said Bao (G8)
