The Thunder Bolt

High School Art Exhibition

The high school art class has its first art exhibition in Building B. For their first unit, students focused on developing a "growth mindset." They grappled with different materials and subject matters of their choice in order to better understand their own process and desires as artists.

Ha - "When I was creating this piece I was thinking about how liking a person is like an addiction that you can’t quit. The colors blue and pink are different but when paired together they create a great combination, like when two people are right for each other."

Emma - "I chose this piece because I wanted to show the beauty of nature. I drew Mother Nature holding a parrot in her hand and surrounded by a colorful forest."

Meleyna - "I chose this piece because I love it so much. Here is an example of me learning about sculpting. I wonder if anyone else has ever made a foam avocado..."

The high school art display is open until December 1st.
