Concordia’s New Golf ASA Led by PGA Professional

As part of our commitment to expanding high-quality Athletic and After-School Activity (ASA) opportunities across our school community, we are excited to share an exclusive new ASA tailored specifically for our Middle and High School students. This session, secondary students in Grades 6 through 12 will step onto the course with premier instruction through our brand-new Golf ASA with PGA Professional Joel Troy.

Designed to elevate our secondary ASA offerings, this opportunity gives older students direct access to top-tier coaching, professional facilities, and strategic course play.

Open to Middle and High School students across a range of skill levels, this premium program offers professional instruction hosted at the prestigious Vân Trì Golf Club. Under the guidance of PGA Professional Joel Troy, students focus on developing technical mastery while building a deep understanding of golf rules, club selection, and mental course management.

The curriculum guides players through a complete progression from technical mechanics to full on-course play. Students begin by mastering essential foundations including posture, grip, swing mechanics, chipping, and pitching. As their game develops, instruction shifts toward advanced skills like driving technique, putting precision, and bunker play, alongside tactical course management strategies such as shot selection and mental preparation. The program culminates in a full nine-hole capstone round at Van Tri Golf Club, giving students the opportunity to apply their training, decision-making, and course strategy on an authentic championship course.

For Middle and High School students, participating in structured sports goes far beyond physical fitness. Golf in particular teaches lifelong values of patience, focus, emotional discipline, and integrity. By bringing real-world professionals like PGA Professional Joel Troy into our ASA program, we aim to inspire our older students, foster self-confidence, and provide clear athletic pathways for growth.

Our secondary athletes have officially stepped onto the greens at Van Tri Golf Club and begun their training sessions with PGA Professional Joel Troy. Thank you to our entire community for supporting our expanding ASA initiatives. We look forward to following our secondary students' progress, skill refinement, and growth on the course throughout the rest of this term.
