Concordia's Annual Elementary School Fall Carnival

The annual Elementary School Fall Carnival at Concordia International School Hanoi is a highly anticipated tradition that transforms our gym into a fairground celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival for both Elementary and Middle School students. What makes this event so special is the incredible involvement of our parent community, who come together each year to organize, set up, and host an unforgettable day of fun, games, treats, and community.

From the earliest planning sessions to the excitement of the carnival day, our Parent Support Organization (PSO) and parent volunteers are the driving force behind every booth and activity. Their dedication brings the entire Concordia family closer, fostering a unique sense of community where new friendships blossom and old connections are strengthened. The Fall Carnival is more than just an event, it is a celebration of partnership and teamwork between families, students, and school staff. Every smile and burst of laughter shows the warmth and dedication our parent volunteers put into making this day special.

The Fall Carnival bridges the gap between grade levels, inviting Elementary and Middle school students to enjoy the festivities together. The day is filled with classic favorites and innovative new games—popcorn and cotton candy stands, face painting, bracelet making, and a picture booth, alongside thrilling activities like the bouncy house, giant chess, Jenga, spin the wheel, cornhole, tan gram challenge, temporary tattoo station, bowling, indoor archery, and much more. Each booth holds its own treasures and surprises, ensuring that every child finds something to spark their imagination and sense of adventure.

At its heart, the Fall Carnival is a gentle reminder of the importance of fun and play in our children’s lives. When we set academics aside and just let the kids have fun, it’s great to see them laughing and enjoying themselves together. Our students revel in the freedom to just be kids, forging happy memories and strong bonds with friends and classmates.

Much like the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Fall Carnival is an occasion where family and community togetherness thrives, bringing parents, students, and teachers together to celebrate the joy of learning, playing, and growing up side by side. We’re so grateful to have such a wonderful parent community. Without their dedication and effort, cherished traditions like this wouldn’t be possible. This event continues to inspire and unite us all, year after year.
