Concordia Musicians Shine in Spring Concerts

Concordia International School Hanoi boasts an excellent music program. Many of our middle and high school students participate in Choir and Chamber Ensemble. This spring the school prioritized in-person concerts to give these students a chance to showcase their hard work in practice and share their talents with the community.

The Bolt spoke with some of our Concordia musicians to hear what they enjoy about our music program.

“I like the ensemble because I like coming together and listening to other musicians coming together as a whole.” (Olivia G8)

“I have become a better flute player because I got to practice more with many people, and it’s really encouraging.” (Leah G8).

“I’ve learned to work on my own and with other people to create one piece of music together in both choir and Chamber Ensemble. I really appreciated the fact we have the opportunity to grow and learn a lot. I was a beginner when I first joined the Choir, but through my teacher and other members, I was really able to develop as a singer and person.” (Matilda G12)

“Technically as a violinist I’ve learned to practice more efficiently.” (Yeon Woo G10).

“Even though the process was short, I felt it was a very good experience to create music together and it was cathartic to be able to perform as a group in front of other people.” (Jinseo G10).

Excellence is one of Concordia’s core values and our student musicians exemplify this spirit.
