The Thunder Bolt

Concordia’s annual Charity Golf Tournament returned to Van Tri Golf Club last month, bringing our community together for a day of competition and camaraderie. Each year this event serves as a powerful reminder of the strong bonds and shared values that unite our school with our partners at Van Tri and the greater Hanoi area.

The tournament brought together a wide range of participants, providing a great opportunity for the community to connect. Concordia parents played alongside Van Tri Club members, tournament sponsors, and various guests from Hanoi’s business network. This diverse group of players spent the day on the course together in a spirit of friendly competition.

The introduction of a custom-made Concordia golf bag marked a new tradition for the tournament this year. To ensure the spirit of the day remained inclusive, the winner was chosen via a random draw of the tournament bag tags. This gave every golfer, regardless of their final score, an equal opportunity to take home a prize for the day. It was a highlight of the afternoon, and we are excited to make this giveaway a permanent part of the tournament moving forward.

The heart of the event, however, remains in our shared commitment to being "good neighbors." We are proud to share that the collective generosity of our participants ensured the tournament was a resounding success, with all proceeds donated to the Thien Loc Fatherland Front. These funds are already hard at work, supporting vital community development and social welfare projects that directly benefit our local area.

Thank you to every participant, sponsor, and volunteer who contributed to such a meaningful day. By blending a passion for sport with a dedication to service, we reinforced the spirit of giving that defines our school. We are already looking forward to next year's tournament and the continued, positive impact we can make together.
