The Thunder Bolt

Concordia International School Hanoi once again successfully hosted its beloved annual Fun Run and Christmas Fair, transforming our campus into a magnificent display of activity, cheer, and community spirit. This year’s event truly surpassed all expectations, drawing an impressive crowd and featuring a record-breaking participation in the race, with nearly 400 runners (a jump of 100+ from last year!) and supporters joining the festivities. Community spirit soared as many participants eagerly seized the opportunity to register on the morning of the race, showing their enthusiasm to join the fun.

The Fun Run offered the familiar choices of a challenging 5k and a family-friendly 1k race. The 5k saw exceptional athletic talent on display, with fierce but friendly competition. Twelve trophies were proudly presented across various categories, celebrating the efforts of our dedicated students, parents, and community members. The 1k race was a highlight for our younger participants and families. It was wonderful to see parents running and walking alongside their children, creating special memories.

Simultaneously, the Christmas Fair reached new heights of success. With plenty of different vendor booths, the marketplace was filled with excitement. Visitors were able to browse a mix of unique handcrafted gifts, festive treats, and international cuisines. We are greatly indebted to our dedicated parents! The spectacular decorations that transformed the entire venue were made possible by their tireless efforts and festive creativity. Their volunteerism truly set a joyful and welcoming stage for the entire event.

Beyond the shopping and running, the fair once again highlighted the Concordia commitment to service. Our students championed an impressive array of charity project booths. These initiatives showcased not only their entrepreneurial skills and creativity but also their strong commitment to giving back, reminding us all of the deeper meaning of the holiday season.

The combination of spirited running, marketplace activity, and generous giving created an atmosphere of Holiday Spirit. This year's Fun Run and Christmas Fair cemented its status as a foundational tradition, powerfully demonstrating the power and connection of the Concordia community. We are already looking forward to next year, anticipating yet another opportunity to celebrate and build even stronger traditions!
