Concordia Hanoi Hosts Annual ASAC Volleyball Tournament

Concordia International School Hanoi proudly hosted this year's annual ASAC (Asean Sports and Activities Conference) tournament. Both our girls' and boys' teams secured 5th place in this competition, which featured ten teams from Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Thailand. Additionally, two of our Concordia students, Kiet (G12) and Ye Eun (G9), were recognized as the MVPs for their respective teams. This event brought together gifted young athletes from across the region, who competed passionately through sportsmanship and collaboration.

“Being a senior athlete, having the chance to participate in ASAC was very special to me. The opportunity to meet, compete, and bond with a special group of athletes has granted me memories I will cherish forever. ASAC was an amazing experience, and I love how our community came together as we hosted this year’s event.” - Kiet (G12)

It was inspiring to see the enthusiastic crowd of students, parents, faculty, and staff who came to cheer us on throughout the 3-day weekend. The tournament featured a total of 66 volleyball games, showcasing the skills and competitive spirit of our athletes. The commitment and effort displayed by everyone involved truly embody our school's spirit.

This event was live-streamed throughout the 3 day weekend, which proved to be a remarkable success, attracting a significant online audience. Throughout the event, there were over 15,000 individual views. What's particularly impressive about this tournament is its international reach. Viewership came from 20 different countries, showcasing the global appeal of our school's volleyball program and the power of live streaming to connect with audiences worldwide.

"Participating in ASAC tournaments offers invaluable experiences for our student-athletes. Hosting the ASAC Senior Volleyball Tournament event allowed us to engage our Concordia community. This year, the introduction of dedicated live streaming cameras in our gyms enabled families and friends to connect with the athletes, regardless of their location." - Mr. Micah Buss

“ASAC was a great experience! I really enjoyed the competition and the opportunity to meet new people. The volleyball games were a lot of fun, and it was a great way to bond as a team and strengthen our school community.” - Bao Linh (G12)

This tournament gave our students so much more than just a chance to compete. Stepping onto an international stage opened their eyes to new levels of skill and sportsmanship, allowing them to truly connect with the experience and build lasting friendships. We are incredibly proud of all our athletes who participated in this tournament, showcasing their dedication and representing our school.
