The 2025-26 school year is officially over! Thank you so much to our students, teachers, and parents for such a great year! Now we rest up and get ready for the 2026-27 school year to start on August 12.

Many of our High School students have just completed the 2026 College Tour! They traveled to the USA to visit impressive universities, such as Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, and many more. Students were able to meet with Admissions reps, experience the campuses, and explore the cities.

Our Grade 7 students are in Ba Vi this week serving at Thai Hoa Secondary School. This is a great opportunity for them to build new friendships and support another community in the Hanoi region. 

Thank you to all of our families, teachers, and students for helping us celebrate the Class of 2026 and our newest alumni on Friday! It was such an amazing day of recognition and enjoyment. We can't wait to see you back on campus to visit your alma mater and catch up with your friends and Concordia family!

We are so proud of the Concordia International School Hanoi Class of 2026! Today we celebrate your graduation and completion of your High School careers. We are excited to see you leave our campus and travel around the world to impact new communities at impressive universities. 

Our MS Spanish students spend the morning cooking delicious Mexican food and treats for students and faculty at their Feria de la Comida. Thank you for feeding us amazing food and teaching us how to order in Spanish. 

Thank you to our incredible High School STEM teachers for hosting our NEW annual STEM Day! This day celebrates everything STEM as ES and MS students get to experience the impressive projects HS students have been working on this year.

Thank you to the Columbian Ambassador to Vietnam, Ms. Camila María Polo Flórez, for visiting our Middle School today to share about her career, her country, and her culture with our students.

Our High School Principal was happy to lead our rising Grade 9 students and parents through HS 101 today. This annual tradition helps teach our soon-to-be High School families on the differences between Middle School and High School, and how they can best prepare themselves for their High School experience.

Thank you to our Middle School Principal and Counselor for hosting our final Parent Town Hall of the school year and for all of the parents who came to the event. Our MS Counselor presented on how parents can best support their children through the summer to address summer social and academic regression. 

Don't forget our Middle School and High School Spring Concert & Art Show is happening this Thursday and Friday at the Dong Anh Community Center. Whether your child is performing or not, we encourage all parents and students to come witness student performances and dedication to the arts.

Our MS students learned how the professionals upcycle / recycle fabric waste and turn it into professionally curated consumer products today. Thank you to GAEA for coming to campus and teaching us about your operations!

We are excited to start filming our annual matriculations video! Concordia Hanoi students attend their best fit universities around the world, helping them to reach their life goals and passions. This video will highlight the Class of 2026 and each of their journeys. 

Did you know that most of our food service workers are hearing impaired and primarily communicate through Vietnamese Sign Language? That is why we partnered with our High School Art Honors Society to create an instructional poster to teach students, teachers, and parents basic NNKH signs to better communicate with our incredible food service staff.

This weekend we were pleased to host Seoul National University and well over 100 parents and students from across Hanoi. SNU met with the Concordia Hanoi Counseling team to deepen our relationship and presented to the many attendees about their unique program and opportunities.

AP Exams start today! Good luck to the many students who will be taking these difficult tests over the next 2 weeks. These college level exams are not only the culmination of the rigorous AP classes, but also true tests of student preparedness and performance.

Our Grade 2 students brought coffee house vibes to campus this week at our annual Curiosity Cafe. Parents were able to enjoy a lovely morning at school celebrating the spirit of curiosity and discovery as their children shared their knowledge of some of the smallest creatures in the animal kingdom: insects!

Congratulations to our Grade 4 class on their successful Market Day! This is a popular event every year where students get to practice what they learned in the classroom and manage their own "shop" on campus. This year's event earned nearly 50,000,000 VND for Blue Dragon. 

The weather is nice and the course is beautiful! The 2026 Charity Golf Tournament has officially begun and golfers are on the course right now, competing for prizes and supporting a great cause. 

Congratulations to our Middle School students and teachers who won our quarterly Thunder Way Awards! We are proud of how you have supported your community, lived out our core values, and embodied The Thunder Way!

Thank you to all of the amazing parent volunteers for spending the day with us to showcase your home culture, clothing, games, and delicious food. This is one of the most beloved days of the year for our community and we appreciate your enthusiasm! 

Thank you to all of our parents for participating in Student-Led Conferences. And a HUGE thank you to our students for taking ownership of their learning, their strengths, and their weaknesses and leading their parents through their own conferences.

Elementary School parents should please remember that Student-Led Conferences are tomorrow and Monday. On these days students will not be in school, but they are required to attend your teacher conference with you. Please refer to the date and time that you were assigned from the ES Office.

We were so proud to host our annual World University Fair for the entire Hanoi community. We brought in over 90 Colleges and Universities from 15 different countries in Hanoi's premier University Fair.

We are excited to unveil a life-size water buffalo statue inside our campus gates! This statue brings our mascot to life and represents The Thunder Way and the dedication, hard work, and reliability of the water buffalo. 

We are so proud of all the students who participated in CIRCH this week. This event shows the high level of academic excellence our students can achieve. Congratulations to everyone involved for your commitment to learning and discovery!

Thank you to all of the community members for making today's Used Book Sale a huge success! We love keeping these pre-loved books in our community so multiple families can share the same joy and inspiration that comes from books. 

Please come to campus this Wednesday, March 25, as we celebrate Book Week, hear a presentation from our Director of Teaching & Learning, and much more! Don't forget to also attend our Book Week reading event, Used Book Sale, and CIRCH Conference on the same day.

Thank you to the MANY parents who donated books to next week's PSO Used Book Sale. This photo represents a very small portion of the books collected. And a very special thank you to the parents who have been sorting, organizing, and preparing the books to make sure the sale goes as smoothly as possible. 

Our Independent Social Science Research students competed in the National History Day (NHD) International Affiliate competition and earned multiple category awards, including one 1st Place, one 2nd Place, two 3rd Place, one Honorable Mention, and one Courageous Historian award.

The 5th Grade Spanish class turned their classroom into a functional Spanish Cafe, taking food and drink orders and serving students and teachers - all in Spanish! Buen provecho!

Thank you to our incredible parents who shared their experiences, insights, and advice with our Middle School students about their careers. Our parent community has a wealth of professional knowledge that helps our students excel today and in the future.

Congratulations to the boys team for winning the 2026 soccer / football championships! Their hard won tournament in Thailand is a first for Concordia and is a testament to their talent and dedication. 

Congratulations to the many Elementary School students on their incredible performances at this year's ES Talent Show. We loved seeing your passions and skills come together for an exciting afternoon! 

Mrs. Gayle Renken, who will be Concordia Hanoi's new Elementary School Principal starting in August 2026, is on campus this week to meet with teachers and students, explore our campus, and prepare for her move to our school.

We had a massive turnout at our event with one of Korea's top universities today! Thank you to Sogang University for hosting this wonderful event and to the over 130 parents from all over Hanoi for spending the morning with us. 

Our Grade 5 students concluded the Lunar New Year festivities in their Mandarin class today by making and enjoying sweet rice balls. We had such an amazing time celebrating the Lunar New Year and are already looking forward to next year!

One of the best High School events of the year is this Saturday! Come to campus to watch teams from across Hanoi compete in a Volleyball tournament and help support charitable causes. This student-led tournament is a great activity for the whole family. 

Middle School Parents, please remember that our MS Lock-In is this Friday, February 27. MS students will spend the night on campus under the supervision of faculty. Please contact the Middle School Office for questions about the event details. 

It's great to see our students return from their Tet holiday rested and ready to study. Students all over the High School are engaged in classes and independent study.

Happy Lunar New Year from Concordia International School Hanoi!

Please remember that we will be on school break from Saturday, February 14 through Sunday, February 22. We will resume normal school hours and operation on Monday, February 23. 

The decorations are on display, students are engaged in Tet activities, and the excitement of Tet is in the air! Our campus is buzzing with the upcoming holiday and we are so excited to celebrate the Lunar New Year with our school family!

Don't forget to come to campus this Wednesday, February 11 after school for our student-led TEDx event. You will hear Middle School and High School speakers share their personal presentations around the topic of "The Bloom Effect."

We had over 40 parents attend the PSO Coffee Morning today. Thank you to everyone who came for supporting the school and listening to a presentation from our Food Service Provider. A special thank you to the parents who stayed after the event to provide feedback in our WASC Accreditation focus group.

Please come to campus this Wednesday, February 4, as we celebrate Tet, hear a presentation from our Food Service Provider, and much more! Don't forget to wear you Ao dài or traditional Vietnamese attire!

The 2026 ASAC Basketball Tournament started today at Concordia International School Hanoi! Join us in welcoming our guest athletes from schools all around Southeast Asia and cheering for our teams throughout the competition. 

Thank you to the many parents who attended yesterday's Middle School Parent Town Hall. We were so excited to host this luncheon and presentation from Mr. McDaniel at The Hanoi Club in Tay Ho to make the event more accessible to our families.

Congratulations to our incredible Middle School drama troupe for yesterday's performances of "Happily Never After"! Students, teachers, and parents all greatly enjoyed your humor and unique versions of famous fairy tale characters.

Our Preschool class always loves their time in the library to discover new books, revisit their favorites, and to explore the many resources our library has to offer.

Thank you to all of our teachers and student performers for hosting the festive Elementary School Winter Concert & Art Show! It was amazing hearing your joyful music and experiencing your artistic expressions and projects. 

Our MS Spanish class experienced the cultural significance and hard work it takes to make authentic tamales, and how tamaladas have brought families and communities together for thousands of years.

Thank you to our many Middle School and High School musicians and artists for your amazing performances and displays at the 2025 Winter Concert & Art Exhibition. 

Every year our Grade 5 students host the Biography Museum, where they research an important figure from history and share their story through a presentation board, art project, and by dressing as that person. 

Our Reception and Grade 3 classes wrapped up their Hot Chocolate Fundraiser to support families in need in Long Bien by packaging together all of the hot chocolate kit orders they received during their November fundraising campaign. 

Thank you to our community for turning out in a huge way for the Fun Run & Christmas Fair! We had nearly 400 participants registered to run and over 50 booths at the Christmas Fair. 

We are hard at work today getting ready for the Fun Run this Saturday! Make sure you look for your Fun Run shirt and race bib after school tomorrow, we are sending them home with students on Friday.

Concordia was honored to welcome acclaimed author Dr. Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai for an inspiring and interactive session with our students! Dr. Quế Mai shared her creative journey, insights into writing in both English and Vietnamese, and the stories behind her award-winning books.

Even on cold, rainy days, Concordia Hanoi students know how to have fun and expand their minds. Our interior social learning areas are great for the days when going outside isn't possible. They are equipped to promote creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking - all in a social environment.

Our incredible Parent Support Organization (PSO) hosted their second annual Swan Boat Race today! The weather was perfect at Trúc Bạch Lake and everyone had an amazing time. Congratulations to all of our winners, especially our first place winning family!

Our ES teachers and students surprised our ES principal on her birthday with a celebration in the gym, including a fun employee volleyball game where the students got to cheer their teachers on!

Thank you to our PSO for hosting their November Morning Coffee. We discussed upcoming events and heard our Head of School present the results of the 2024-25 Parent Perception Study.

Our Middle School and High School parents had the opportunity to talk in private sessions with both their teachers and children to learn more about their child's learning, development, and how the school and family can best support their needs.

Our amazing community showed up to have fun at the Fall BBQ, despite the rainy conditions. We enjoyed delicious food, entertaining games, a spirited watermelon eating contest, and lots of community bonding. 

We know the weather outside may not be perfect, but don't worry - the rain will not stop the fun. We have already made adjustments to our plans, moving activities and food areas so we can all stay dry and comfortable. See you at 11:00!

Our teachers and parents concluded their conferences this semester, discussing in one-on-one meetings how to best support each student individually and making sure our parents are informed about their child's progress.

We are excited to announce that Gayle Renken, Associate Principal of the Lower Primary School at Hong Kong International School, has accepted the position of Elementary School Principal at Concordia Hanoi beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

Grade 1 has been creating their own terrariums as they learn about what living creatures need for survival. They were surprised today with live snails to live in each of the homes they've made!

Our Elementary School students celebrated International Dot Day in style! Students all across the ES wore their best dot themed clothes and celebrated creativity, courage, and collaboration.

Our Middle School students enjoyed healthy competition as they battled it out in an intense relay race at their Community Building event. 

It was so great today to see our students enjoying their After School Activities. They were challenged, had fun, and gained new experiences outside of the classroom!

Our Middle School students were able to experience the Japanese martial art of Kendo directly from a member of the Vietnamese National Kendo Team!

Our High School Assemblies are important opportunities for all HS students to hear from their leaders, learn more about their upcoming opportunities, and engage with the community. 

Our Elementary School students were able to enjoy their first assembly of the school by singing songs, playing games, and hearing from our amazing ES Principal. 

Concordia International School Hanoi's 2025-26 academic school year has officially begun! We are so happy to have students on campus again and can't wait to see all of the amazing transformation that will happen this year. 

We were so happy to welcome our new students at New Student Orientation! New parents and students were able to meet with their teachers, talk to school services, and explore their new campus. See you again Wednesday! 

Our new hires had their first Vietnamese language lesson and are hard at work trying to understand and practice their new tones and vocabulary.
