Martha is from Missouri, USA. Her parents are both music educators and active musicians in their community, so music has always been important in Martha's life. She earned her Bachelor's degree in music education from Concordia University Chicago and completed her Level I Orff Schulwerk Certification to enrich her teaching. In 2015 Martha completed her Master's degree from Kent State University by writing a comprehensive elementary music curriculum that encourages music literacy and creativity.
Martha began her teaching career in St. Louis, MO. In August, 2014 she was able to pursue her interest in teaching internationally by joining the Concordia community. Martha's primary instrument is french horn and she has performed in numerous wind ensembles, orchestras, musical theater productions, choirs, and church groups in various countries.
