Ms. Shih was born in Hong Kong and moved to the United States at the age of six. Ms. Shih earned a B.S. in Child and Adolescent Studies from California State University, Fullerton before moving to Japan for three years. In Japan, Ms. Shih learned a lot about her Asian heritage while learning more about the Japanese culture. It was in Japan that Ms. Shih realized that she wanted to live and teach in Asia.
After moving back to California in 2006, Ms. Shih earned her teaching credential and M.A. from Azusa Pacific University in California. Ms. Shih began to teach in the San Bernardino City Unified School District in 2006 to students who learned English as a Second Language. She taught fourth grade and second grade before moving here to Hanoi and becoming a part of the Concordia Hanoi family.
In her free time, Ms. Shih enjoys cycling, cooking, watching movies, and studying Vietnamese. She is very happy to be living in Hanoi and being a part of the Concordia Hanoi family.
