Concordia Student to Present Research at Big Data Conference

Concordia International School Hanoi high school junior, Ryo Adachi, has been selected to present her paper, in which she applies Big Data Analytics to predict earthquake activity in Japan, at the 5th International Big Data and Analytics Educational Conference this July at Langkawi Island, Malaysia.

In her research, Ryo analyzed data from the Japan Meteorological Agency Earthquake Database and makes predictions accordingly.

Ryo will present her work alongside with professors and academics from around the world, who are experts in the field of Big Data Analytics in education.

This year’s conference is organized by Watson Analytics Global Academics Network and IBM Centre of Excellence in Business Analytics at Deakin University. Past Big Data Education conferences were held in Las Vegas (2013, 2014), Puerto Rico (2015) and the UK (2016).

We are very proud to have Ryo representing Concordia International School Hanoi at such a prestigious conference.  Ryo is testimony to why Big Data should be and is taught at the high school level at Concordia.
