Enrollment Requirements

  • Age requirements for entry:

Parents are required to submit proof of birth date in the form of a birth certificate, passport, or other official government document

Students’ transferring from a country whose school year follows a different calendar than Concordia will generally be required to continue in the year they have just completed (For example: a student completing grade 7 in December in Australia, would remain in grade 7 at Concordia for the remainder of the academic year).

  • Evaluation and Acceptance

In order to be offered admission, each applicant’s school reports, interview and assessment must indicate that the student is close to, at, or above grade level in all subjects.  The student’s academic records must indicate average to above average academic performance in their native language or an English language curriculum school.

  • Specialized Learning Needs

Concordia does not offer services for students with special learning needs or specific learning disabilities (i.e. significant limited intellectual ability, severe physical handicaps or pronounced social, emotional or behavioral difficulties) that require an IEP (Individualized Education Program). We ask families whose children have specialized schooling requirements to include documentation of these needs and the reasons for these requirements with the application. Admission to Concordia is contingent upon a match between the student's needs and level of service available.

Continuous Enrollment

  • Guaranteed Placement for the Next Year at Concordia

As we continue to grow and thrive and the Concordia enrollment increases, we are either at or near waiting-pools in many of our grades, making placement in next year’s class an increasingly sought-after spot.

In an effort to simplify the process of guaranteeing enrollment for all Concordia students, we are working under the principle of continuous enrollment.  Under this process, all current Concordia families will be automatically re-enrolled by March 15th.  We ask that in the situations where a family intends to leave our school to please notify us prior to March 1st, by completing the Withdrawal Form here.  Please note, Concordia requires two weeks to provide student transcripts/grade reports or Enrollment Certificates.  Please plan accordingly.

To ensure that we are prepared to fulfill our mission of providing you and your family an elite education every year, Concordia makes solid plans for staffing, programs, materials, curriculum and facility usage according to enrollment.

Thanks to all our families for your long-standing support of Concordia International School Hanoi.  We look forward to furthering our reputation for excellence with you.

Lunch, Bus, & Uniform

  • Lunch

A hot lunch is provided for students who use the Concordia meal card. Meals are provided by Donkey Bakery, a socially responsible company, employing those with hearing and other disabilities. Alternatively students can bring their own lunch to school and microwaves are provided to heat meals.
